Moving help · Loading & unloading

Moving help for your truck, container or storage unit.

You book the rental truck or portable container. A two-person crew loads it tight and balanced, unloads it at the other end and puts every piece in its room — $130–$170 an hour with a two-hour minimum, confirmed in writing before moving day. Based in Castle Rock, working from Boulder to Colorado Springs.

What moves the price: stairs and elevators, how far the truck parks from the door, and heavy pieces like safes or gym equipment.

What we handle

The heavy part of the move, start to finish.

Loading, unloading and everything that has to be carried, lifted or taken apart in between.

Rental trucks and trailers

U-Haul, Penske, Budget or any rental truck or trailer — loaded in tight tiers, heavy on the bottom and tied off as we go.

Portable containers

PODS, U-Box and other containers packed to the doors, so nothing shifts when the container company picks it up and drives it.

Storage units

Loaded in or cleared out, with the things you'll need first kept closest to the door.

Unloading and placement

Every piece carried to the room it belongs in, with beds, tables and desks put back together.

In-home moves and heavy items

Rooms rearranged, space cleared for new floors or paint, and safes, gym equipment and appliances taken up or down the stairs.

Senior moves and downsizing

An unhurried pace, careful handling of what matters most, and the pieces that aren't making the trip hauled off the same day.

Loaded like it has to travel

How a load survives the trip.

Most moving damage comes from how a truck was loaded, not how it was driven. We load for the road.

  • Tiers, heaviest firstAppliances and dressers against the front wall, then floor-to-ceiling tiers so the load can't slide.
  • Tied off as we goStraps on each tier — not one strap across the back of the truck.
  • Wrapped and paddedFurniture wrapped, mattresses and mirrors covered, glass and screens carried on edge.
  • Your home protectedDoor frames, banisters and floors covered on the way out. We know what a dolly does to drywall.
  • Apart and back togetherBeds, tables and desks disassembled, the hardware bagged and labeled, and reassembled at the other end.
  • Hours you can plan aroundEstimated in writing from your list, so moving day has a budget before it starts.

Why labor-only

The truck is the cheap part. The lifting is what you hire us for.

Renting the truck or container yourself and paying a crew only for the loading and unloading is usually the most affordable way to move — and you control the dates. For household moves, you or the container company handle the driving; we handle everything heavy at both ends.

Before moving day

  • Book the truck or container first
  • Send both addresses, floors and stairs
  • List the big and heavy pieces
  • Reserve elevators or a loading zone
  • Have gas appliances disconnected ahead of time
  • Keep valuables and medications with you

Questions

Moving help questions.

How much does moving help cost?

$130–$170 an hour for a two-person crew, with a two-hour minimum. We estimate the hours from your list or a few photos and confirm everything in writing before moving day.

Do you bring the truck?

For household moves, no — you book the rental truck or portable container and we do the loading, unloading and heavy lifting. It's usually the most affordable way to move, and you stay in control of the dates. Our own cargo van handles junk removal and office moves.

How many hours will I need?

It depends on how much you're moving, stairs and elevators, and how far the truck parks from the door. Send your list or a few photos and you'll get the estimated hours in writing.

Can you load at one place and unload at another?

Yes. We can load at your old place, unload at the new one, or both — your written estimate shows exactly how the time is counted.

Do you take furniture apart and put it back together?

Yes. Beds, tables and desks are disassembled with the hardware bagged and labeled, and reassembled where they're going.

Can you haul away what we're not taking?

Yes, on the same visit. Furniture, mattresses and boxes that aren't making the trip can be hauled off for donation, recycling or disposal. See junk removal.

Where do you offer moving help?

From Boulder to Colorado Springs. Douglas County and the south metro are home base, with no travel charge. Farther out — across the Denver metro, north to Boulder and south to Colorado Springs — travel is built into your written price, never added afterward. See every town we cover.
